Affording Briskin Elementary

AT BRISKIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

We believe that a Jewish education is critical to sustaining and nourishing the Jewish community. We understand that a Jewish education can profoundly impact your child’s life and that it can carry significant costs. As a result, Briskin is committed to ensuring socio-economic diversity and to providing a Jewish education to anyone who seeks it.

We offer tuition assistance in the form of grants and payment plans. Grants are awarded based on financial need. Families apply for the grants through School and Student Services (SSS), a third party, anonymous, web-based information collection service. Information collected is then analyzed by a confidential committee who distributes the awards. Families will be notified of awards when acceptance letters are sent out. Request for tuition assistance does not affect our admissions decisions in any way.  Our tuition assistance application is now available and is due December 31. In addition, certain adjustments to the standard payment plan can often be arranged through the school business office.

How to Apply for Tuition Assistance

Briskin’s Tuition Assistance Program is designed to make a Briskin education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Briskin is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as Briskin requires you to upload additional tax documentation including a recent paystub and the current year’s W2.

The deadline for returning families to complete the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is December 31, 2024.

The deadline for new families to complete the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is January 31, 2025.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.
